About Us
The beginning...
Astilleros Cartagena, began in November 1973, settling in the industrial area of Mamonal in Cartagena de Indias on a 42x300 meter lot owned by the Juanes family. By the will of our mother Dorothea Sapaccavento and the unshakable commitment of Nicola Minervini (father) and the brothers Saverio and Leonardo Minervini, we began to support the development plans of the Minervini family, maritime operator Coremar Ltda. This leads to family growth in the marine field, supporting global companies such as ExxonMobil Co., Morrison Co., and support to Costa Rican port companies. The development led to an extensive work experience from port tugboats repairs, ship reconversion and construction but also to innovative transportation and logistic support for renowned films and tv soaps. 50 years later, its infrastructure is being rebuilt, giving it more capacity to support the naval and metal-mechanic industry, with our slogan "the industry that progresses the most".
Today the company has twice the initial area with industrial warehouses (4), patios, docks and slipway to jump boats up to 3,000 tons. Located in the most important road corridor of the industrial zone of Cartagena with independent entrance and independent exit to the sea in 3 berths.
